Kevin O'Malley
Partner & Portfolio Manager, Chatham Asset Management, LLC
Mr. O'Malley joined Chatham Asset Management, LLC in 2004 and serves as Deputy Portfolio Manager of the flagship Chatham Asset High Yield Master Fund. Along with co-managing the high yield bond portfolio, Kevin manages and executes the majority of our investments within the leveraged loan market as well as structures and implements Chatham's short portfolio and macro hedging program. Prior to joining Chatham in 2004, Kevin spent nearly 12 years in multiple capacities at Morgan Stanley as part of their Global High Yield Group, working in their Hong Kong, Tokyo, London and New York offices. Kevin traded virtually all of the major product areas including emerging-market corporate debt, sovereign debt (both dollar and non-dollar denominated, via both cash securities and derivatives) leveraged loans and U.S. high yield bonds. Over the course of his career, Kevin has significant experience investing and trading during some of the most volatile and challenging credit market environments in the past two decades. Kevin received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Boston College in 1992. The firm currently manages $2.9 billion and was founded in 2003.
