Jason Karp
Founder & Chief Investment Officer, Tourbillon Capital Partners, L.P.
Jason Karp is the founder and CIO of Tourbillon Capital Partners, L.P. which manages a multi-billion dollar global and low net exposure long/short equity fund and a long only fund. Mr. Karp has 18 years of investment experience and was previously co-CIO of Carlson Capital, Portfolio Manager at SAC Capital, and a Partner and Portfolio Manager at George Weiss Associates. Mr. Karp graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Economics and concentration in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was Academic All-American and Academic All-Ivy as a Varsity Squash player. He is Chairman of the investment committee overseeing the endowment of The Loomis Chaffee School, and he has endowed scholarships in his parents' names for underprivileged students at both The Loomis Chaffee School and University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
