Don Fehrs, Ph.D.
Principal - Risk Management & Research & Member of the Investment Committee, Evanston Capital Management, LLC
Mr. Fehrs is a Principal - Risk Management and Research and a member of the Investment Committee of Evanston Capital Management, LLC. He joined the firm in May 2006. Mr. Fehrs' responsibilities include oversight of the portfolio risk management function and evaluation of existing and potential Portfolio Managers. In July 2014, Mr. Fehrs received the Rodney H. Adams Endowment Management Award by the National Association of College and University Business Officers. Prior to joining Evanston Capital he was the Chief Investment Officer at Cornell University, where he managed the University's investment assets, consisting of the endowment, other University funds, and accounts separately invested on behalf of donors, totaling in excess of $4 billion. Before joining Cornell in 1999, Mr. Fehrs was at the University of Notre Dame, first as a member of the finance faculty and later as a Senior Investment Director. He started his career in the auditing and treasury divisions of Prudential Insurance. Mr. Fehrs has a bachelor's degree in economics from Cornell, an MBA from Mercer University, and a Ph.D. in finance from Florida State University. He currently serves as an Investment Advisory Committee Member on The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Inc.
