Jay Williams

Former NBA Player, Analyst - ESPN & Author of "Life is Not an Accident: A Memoir of Reinvention"

 

Jay Williams was born September 10th 1981 that grew up in New Jersey and is an American former basketball player. Jay had decorated collegiate career playing basketball for Duke University, which included an NCAA Ftle, a naFonal college player of the year award, and two consensus first team All- American selecFons. Jay then played professionally for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA.

 

Jay was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2002 NBA draK when he joined the Chicago Bulls. But in 2003, Jay ran his high-performance motorcycle head-on into a light pole, severely damaging himself and ending his basketball career. Not only did this accident lead Jay out of fame, fortune, etc. but also he entered a dark depression for a Fme that brought Jay a deeper wisdom on the purpose of life.

 

Jay now works for ESPN as a college basketball analyst. He also has done motivational speaking and worked as an analyst on CBS College Sports Network during the 2008 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. But with Jay's inspiring tale he has even bigger plans for the future. Jay now has his book set to be released in 2016 titled Like is No Accident (now available to preorder on Amazon).
