Irene Tse
Chief Investment Officer, Tse Capital Management L.P.
Irene Tse is the Chief Investment Officer of Tse Capital Management and brings with her over 20 years of direct investment experience.
Most recently, she served as the North America Chief Investment Officer for JPMorgan Chase. There she was responsible for multi-strategy investments, including rates, mortgage-backed securities, structured products, municipal bonds, FX and equity indexes for the firm's investment portfolios. Ms. Tse also managed the hedging of the mortgage servicing rights portfolio for the Home Mortgage business.
Prior to her role at JPMorgan Chase, Ms. Tse was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Duquesne Capital Management. During her three years at Duquesne, she worked closely with founder Stanley Druckenmiller, focusing on global macro investing.
Before joining Duquesne in 2008, she was a Partner and Co-head of US Rates Trading at Goldman Sachs. While at Goldman Sachs, she also ran the European government bonds trading group.
Ms. Tse was also a member of the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee, a government appointed panel of economic advisors that has counseled lawmakers for almost half a century. The Committee offers quarterly recommendations to the U.S. Treasury on managing the Government's debt and members are appointed by the Treasury in consultation with the group's chairman.
Ms. Tse earned a BA in both Economics and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993. She was a concert pianist who has performed in London and New York City.
