Juan Publio Triana
Professor - Centre for the Study of the Cuban Economy, University of Havana.
Juan Publio Triana Cordovi is Professor at the Centre for the Study of the Cuban Economy, Univesity of Habana. He has taught at the School of Economics of the University of Habana since 1977. From 1995 to 2004 he was Director of the Center for Studies on the Cuban Economy . Dr. Triana has written more than twenty books as author and co-author on issues related to the Cuban Economy and Economic thought. He has published more than 40 articles in books and magazines edited in Cuba and abroad and he has participated in numerous national and international events related to the Economic Development of the Cuban Economy. He has been travelling professor and US, Canada, British universities, as well as in other countries in Europe. He has been consultant of Cuban and foreign companies, including: Telecommunications Company of Cuba (ETECSA), Empresa Cubana de Airports (ECASA), Ampelos Group (South Korea) and has served for several years as consultant to the The Economist Intelligent Unit (EIU) Report on Cuba. Today Dr. Triana serves as one of the scientific leaders of the Committee of Economics and Social Council of Science and Technology Commission's Implementation of Economic and Social Guidelines of the Government of Cuba.
