Two-time Academy Award nominee WILL SMITH has enjoyed a diverse career encompassing films, television, and multi-platinum records. For his portrayal of Muhammad Ali in Michael Mann's ALI, he received his first Academy Award nomination, which was followed by his second nomination for the true-life drama, THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS.
Smith is currently in production on COLLATERAL BEAUTY for Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema. Smith will next be seen in the David Ayer-directed SUICIDE SQUAD for Warner Bros. Pictures, which is slated for release on August 5, 2016. Smith will also reteam with director David Ayer for the Max Landis spec script BRIGHT.
Most recently, Smith was seen in Sony Pictures' CONCUSSION, for which he received Golden Globe and NAACP Image Award nominations, as well as the Hollywood Film Award for "Actor of the Year". His extraordinary list of blockbusters includes FOCUS, HITCH, I AM LEGEND, HANCOCK, I, ROBOT, INDEPENDENCE DAY, MEN IN BLACK, MEN IN BLACK II, and MEN IN BLACK III.
His business acumen is not limited to acting and, along with partner James Lassiter of Overbrook Entertainment, he has produced ANNIE, THE KARATE KID, HITCH, THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS, THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES, SEVEN POUNDS, LAKEVIEW TERRACE, and THE HUMAN CONTRACT, among others.
