Morris Mark
Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer, Mark Asset Management Corporation
Morris Mark is the Founder, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Mark Asset Management, an SEC-registered investment adviser based in New York City. He leads portfolio management, risk management and research activities to manage Long-Bias and Long-Only hedge fund strategies for institutional and private clients. Mr. Mark formed his flagship fund, Mark Partners, in 1985, and established Mark Asset Management Corporation in 1987.
After graduating from Harvard Law School, briefly practicing law and working directly for the chairman of Loews Corporation, Morris spent 15 years as an award-winning research analyst, and risk arbitrageur at First Manhattan and Goldman Sachs where he developed his equity oriented, fundamentally-based approach to investing.
Morris is a Chartered Financial Analyst, graduated cum laude in economics from Brooklyn College, and received a JD from Harvard Law School. He is currently a member of the Harvard Law School Advisory Board and served on the Board of Directors of General Growth Properties, Inc.
