Reade Griffith
Chief Investment Officer, Polygon's European Event-Driven Fund & Co-Founder & Head of Investment Committee, Tetragon Financial Group (TFG)
Reade Griffith is the CIO of Polygon's European Event-Driven Fund, and a Co-founder of Tetragon Financial Group (TFG) and Head of its Investment Committee.
TFG is traded on the London and Amsterdam stock exchanges and invests in a broad range of assets. TFG Asset Management, its alternative asset management platform, manages a series of European infrastructure funds, global private equity real estate funds, the Polygon hedge funds, a significant CLO origination and investment platform, and a startup commodities business. Assets under management for TFG Asset Management as of 31 December 2015 totaled approximately $17 billion.
Prior to Co-founding Polygon and Tetragon, he was the founder and CEO of the European office of Citadel Investment Group, a multi-strategy hedge fund that he joined in 1998. He was a partner and senior managing director responsible for running the global event driven arbitrage team in Tokyo, London and Chicago.
Before Citadel, he was with Baker Nye investments where he was investing for a global merger arbitrage and special situations portfolio.
Reade holds a JD cum laude from Harvard Law School and an undergraduate degree in Economics magna cum laude from Harvard College.
He was also a Captain in the United States Marine Corps and saw combat in Operation Desert Storm in Kuwait.
He resides in London with his wife and three daughters.
