Argentiere Capital employs a multi-strategy approach to investing in equities, with a strong focus on equity volatility strategies. The firm was founded in 2013 by a highly experienced investment team comprised of former members of JPMorgan's Global Equities Proprietary Trading Group, led by Deepak Gulati, who was Global Head of the group from 2008-2012. The senior members of Argentiere's investment team have worked together for over 8 years, ensuring full continuity of investment and risk management processes. Argentiere deploys capital across a range of liquid equity based strategies, seeking to identify and take advantage of the most attractive risk reward opportunities across the spectrum of equities. The firm seeks to generate attractive risk adjusted returns which are uncorrelated with broader markets.
Argentiere is based in Zug, Switzerland with additional offices in Chicago and New York. William M Daley, President Obama's former Chief of Staff, is head of Argentiere's US operations. The firm is comprised of 20 professionals, split between investments (9) and operations/support staff (11) and currently has $800mn in assets under management.
Argentiere Capital is licensed by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority ("FINMA"), is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser under the Advisers Act, with the CFTC as a commodity pool operator, and is a member of the National Futures Association.
