Daniel S. Loeb
Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Third Point LLC
Daniel Loeb is CEO of Third Point LLC, an asset management firm headquartered in New York, which he founded in 1995. He is a Trustee of the United States Olympic Committee, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, Students First New York, and Mt Sinai Hospital, where he established the Ronald M. Loeb Center for the study of Alzheimer's Disease in memory of his late father. Daniel is also the Chairman of the Board of Success Academies Charter Schools. He launched and has funded the Human Rights Campaign's initiative to protect LGBT rights globally in the face of increasing discrimination. He is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Daniel graduated from Columbia University with an A.B. in economics in 1983. He has endowed the Daniel S. Loeb Scholarship for undergraduate study there and received Columbia's John Jay Award for distinguished professional achievement.
