Georgette Mosbacher is a successful business leader, nationally recognized political activist and fundraiser, public speaker, author and an advocate for women and children.
Ms. Mosbacher is currently the CEO and President of Borghese Inc., a worldwide cosmetic, skin care and toiletries company. In 2000, she was tapped by the company's board of directors to reorganize the company and return it to profitability worldwide. She engaged immediately by streamlining the product line and narrowing its distribution of retailers, in effort to restore prestige and exclusivity to the brand and expand it internationally.
With her newest business venture as CEO of Borghese, Ms. Mosbacher is breaking new ground in the worlds of beauty and retail. She has forged an unprecedented alliance with Costco to co-brand a line of Borghese cosmetics under the retailer's acclaimed Kirkland brand, with the moniker Kirkland Signature by Borghese. The collection -- the first-ever, co-branded product for Costco and the beauty industry overall -- establishes a new paradigm in the world of beauty by introducing a prestigious brand into the arena of high volume, mass market retailing.
In 1995, Ms. Mosbacher launched Georgette Mosbacher Enterprises, a venture capital and marketing firm specializing in the transformation of failing, yet promising, businesses. The firm acquires equity interest in privately held organizations where a realizable exit can be reached within three to five years.
From 1987 to 1995, Ms. Mosbacher served as CEO and owner of LaPrairie, where she built a world-class, prestigious beauty brand. Within three years of taking the helm, she generated a 100% increase in sales and profits by developing innovative products, as well as sales and marketing programs. In 1995, Ms. Mosbacher sold the company to Beiersdorf, an international skin and beauty care company.
In addition to her success in business, Ms. Mosbacher is renowned for her leadership in politics. For the past 10 years, she has served as the Republican National Committeewoman for the State of New York and as a New York Delegate at the past three Republican National Conventions, and she has chaired the Republican Governor's Association. In 1994, Ms. Mosbacher raised a record-breaking $15 million by orchestrating all facets of that year's Republican National Gala.
Ms. Mosbacher is an advocate for women and children. She has authored two books, including the best seller, "Feminine Force," a semi-autobiography and motivational guide for women and "It Takes Money Honey," a women's guide to total financial freedom.
In 1995, she spearheaded the conception, funding and administration of The New York Center for Children, a privately financed, tax-exempt charity dedicated to assisting abused children and their families. She has also provided testimony before Congress and other governmental bodies on women's causes and other social issues.
Ms. Mosbacher is a widely respected, dynamic and motivational public speaker and has accepted invitations to speak to a variety of organizations, including AT&T, Wharton School of Business, Texas Executive Women, Swiss American Chamber of Commerce, MCI, American Heart Association, National Women's Economic Alliance, Institutional Investors, National Association of Women Business Owners and the National Federation of Republican Women. She is registered with the Washington Speaker's Bureau.

Ms. Mosbacher has a Bachelor of Science degree, from Indiana University. She also holds a Doctor of Business Administration honorary degree from Bryant College.
