David Lindenbaum
Head, Managed Accounts & Alternative Investments, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.
David Lindenbaum is responsible for the separately managed account business at Charles Schwab, which includes the third-party and proprietary product platforms. In total, the separately managed platforms encompass more than 1,200 money manager relationships and 4,000 individual investment strategies. As of March 31, 2014 Schwab has more than $89 billion across all separately managed account platforms.
David also oversees the Alternative Investment OneSource™, a platform that provides enhanced custodial and shareholder services to a number of alternative investment funds registered under the Securities Act of 1933. Funds on the platform fall into the following categories: Non-Traded REIT's, Hedge Fund of Funds, Managed Futures, Single Manager Hedge Funds, and Business Development Companies (BDC's).
Before joining Schwab in September 2004, David was Vice President of Managed Account Product Development and Management at Wells Fargo Investments, where he developed mutual fund wrap, multi-strategy portfolios, and separately managed account platforms. Prior to Wells Fargo, he worked at Bear Stearns in New York, where his responsibilities included developing and launching fee-based tools, a non-transaction fee (NTF) mutual fund platform, and managed account products for correspondent clearing clients.
David earned a B.A. from the University of California at Davis, and has his Certified Financial Planning designation. He holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 security licenses. David serves on the Board of Governors for the Money Management Institute.
