Vishal Bhutani
Chief Investment Officer, Pyrrho Capital Management
Vishal Bhutani built and was the Portfolio Manager for the Event Driven Strategy of the Structured Portfolio Management ("SPM") Opportunity Fund. Prior to joining SPM, Mr. Bhutani was a Portfolio Manager for Alexandra Investment Management, a $2 billion (peak) multi-strategy fund where he managed the global event driven credit and equity portfolios, which peaked at $1.6bn and averaged over $1bn. In 2006, Mr. Bhutani opened an office in India and hired a team of analysts to build an investing platform across Asia. Prior to becoming a Portfolio Manager, he held the position of Head of Research at the firm. Mr. Bhutani has over 10 years' experience as a hedge fund investor and has sat on various creditor committees during corporate restructurings. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bhutani was a Distressed Security Analyst at Magten Asset Management where he focused on researching distressed credits across different geographies. Mr. Bhutani started his career as a Corporate Finance and Strategy Associate with McKinsey & Company. He holds an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business and Master of Finance degree from the University of Delhi and is a CFA Charterholder.
