Bob Miller
Governor, State of Nevada (1989 - 1999)
BOB MILLER is Nevada’s longest serving Governor. He has served as Chariman of the National Governors Association, Nevada’s Lieutenant Governor, and as the District Attorney of Clark County Nevada. He was the first Clark County District Attorney to win reelection in modern history and served as President of the National District Attorneys Association. In 1982 he was one of nine members of President Ronald Reagan's Task Force of Victims of Crime. President Clinton appointed him to the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations from 1993-1998.
He was raised in Las Vegas, the son of an early gaming pioneer, Ross Miller. His son, Ross, who is named after his grandfather is presently in his second term as Nevada’s Secretary of State.
