Josh Birnbaum
Chief Investment Officer, Tilden Park Capital Management
Josh Birnbaum is Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Tilden Park Capital Management. Prior to founding Tilden Park in 2008, Mr. Birnbaum worked at Goldman Sachs for 15 years in fixed income trading, focusing on mortgage-backed securities and derivatives. Most recently, he was a Managing Director and Co-Manager of Trading in the Structured Products Group at Goldman Sachs, which trades all securitized products including RMBS, CMBS, ABS and CDOs. During his career at Goldman Sachs, he served as desk head or lead trader across a wide spectrum of mortgage products including: mortgage credit, mortgage derivatives and mortgage passthroughs.
Mr. Birnbaum earned a B.S. in Economics summa cum laude with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1993.
