Yifei Li
China Country Chair, Man Group
Li Yifei is Country Chair for Man Group in China, one of the world's largest hedge fund managers. It has been in business for over 230 years. Man Group is a member of the FTSE 250 Index with over $50 billion funds under management.
Ms Li was Managing Director of GLG Partners for China. GLG was merged into Man Group in 2010. Previously, she was the Managing Director of MTV Greater China, Executive Vice President of MTV Networks Asia, and Chief Representative of Viacom China.
In May 2001, Ms Li was selected as one of 25 of Rising Stars-Global Leaders for the Next Generation by Fortune and was on the cover of Fortune Magazine. She was also selected as one of the 50 Most Powerful Women by Fortune in since October 2001 for 4 consecutive years. In addition, Ms Li was selected as one of Ten Women to Watch in Asia by the Wall Street Journal in both 2005 and 2006.
Ms Li is a global board member of GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization) and serves on the Audit and Finance Committee. She is also a member of the Rockefeller Foundation Board of Trustees.
A native of Beijing, Ms Li has a Bachelor of Law degree from Foreign Affairs College in Beijing and an M.A. in International Relations from her studies in the United States. Additionally, Ms Li was a national champion in Chinese Martial Arts.
