Dan Li
Partner & Co-Head of Asian Trading, Pine River Capital Management
Prior to joining Pine River in 2012, Dan was a Managing Director at Magnetar Capital from 2005 to 2011. He was head of its China business and Financial Engineering Group, part of the core team that managed its Global Fixed Income and Structured Credit Portfolio, and served on its Fixed Income Investment Committee. From 2000 to 2004, Dan was a Director at Citadel Investments and was part of the team that built the Warrant on Trust business. He also managed the Risk and Information and Technology/Financial Engineering teams for Citadel's Global Credit Business. From 1996 to 2000, Dan was a Senior Manager at Arthur Andersen where he managed the North American Price Advisory Service. From 1994 to 1996, he was an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Federal Home Loan Bank - Des Moines. Dan started his career at the Illinois Housing Development Authority as a Financial Analyst. He received PhD level training in finance at the University of Utah; an MBA with distinction from State University of New York - Buffalo; and a BS in Radio Physics from Lanzhou University. Dan was admitted to the partnership upon joining the Firm in 2012.
