Detlef Schoen

Managing Partner Farm Investments, Aquila Capital

 

An agronomist, farmer and former global agri-business executive, Mr. Detlef Schoen is Managing Partner, Farm Investments at Aquila Capital and heads up the agricultural team. Mr. Schoen began his career with Cargill - having held a range of positions at the firm Mr. Schoen was Managing Director of the European Commodities Merchandising Division. He then ran his own farm services and grain merchandising business for a time before returning to global agribusiness as Manager of International Grains for NIDERA. Mr. Schoen held several non-executive and supervisory board positions in farming and agri-business.
