John Reade 

Senior Vice President, Paulson & Co. Inc.

 

John Reade is a Senior Vice President and a member of the research team for Paulson &

Co. Inc. (“Paulson”). John is based in Paulson’s London office, Paulson Europe LLP, having joined in January 2010.

 

Prior to Paulson, Managing Director and the Senior Metals Strategist at UBS Investment

Bank with responsibility for forecasting and writing research on precious and base metals with a specific expertise in gold

 

In addition to this role John was also UBS' gold equity analyst in Johannesburg between 1996 and 1999 and worked as a Foreign Exchange strategist with responsibility for European time-zone emerging market currencies between 2003 and 2006.

 

Prior to moving into finance, John worked for eight years in the South African gold mining industry as a Mining Engineer in production, project evaluation and management.

 

John holds a BSc in Mining Engineering from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, London. He is also a regular speaker at financial and commodity conferences.
