Michael McGrath

Michael McGrath is a Partner in Perella Weinberg Partners Asset Management Group. Based in New York, Mr. McGrath works with the Marketing Group and the portfolio management teams on product development, with a particular focus on growing the Firm’s presence in the private client market segment.
Mr. McGrath has more than 22 years of product management experience in the private wealth
business. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners, he was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley
Smith Barney and Global Head of the Alternative Investments Group. In this role he was
responsible for developing strategy and building global alternative investment capabilities for the
wealth management joint venture between Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2004 and also served as the Director of Product Development and Chief Operating
Officer of Private Wealth Management for the Americas.
Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. McGrath was Head of Alternative Products and Offshore Funds at Nuveen Investments. Earlier in his career, he worked with Gruntal & Company and PaineWebber. Mr. McGrath received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Peter’s College and a Masters in Business Administration from New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
