Peter Douglas CAIA is principal of GFIA pte ltd. Established in 1998, GFIA is Asia’s oldest hedge and absolute return consulting firm, concentrating on Asian and Emerging Markets. It now includes physical assets such as agriculture and real estate within its universe. It provides investment, philanthropic, and fiduciary infrastructure to wealthy families.
Peter was a founder of the Financial Planning Association of Singapore (FPAS); was a founder of Returns Invested in Children and Education (RICE); is a Singapore Financial Industry Certified Professional (FICP); established the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) in Singapore and was a global council member of AIMA for ten years; and sits on the board of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association.
He has an honours degree from the University of Exeter, UK, and an MBA from INSEAD, France.
